A Blade That Takes Time to Make

The blade is one of the most special parts of the M060. Built with a three-layer laminated steel construction and an SLD-Magic steel core, each blade develops its own distinctive layered pattern.

The finishing process takes considerable time and attention. We start with sandblasting, then carefully polish selected areas along the natural steel patterns to bring out the contrast between matte and polished surfaces.

No two blades look exactly alike.

This process is more complicated and time-consuming than ordinary blade finishing. But we believe good craftsmanship shouldn't always mean an unreasonable price. We want more knife enthusiasts to enjoy this kind of blade without paying a premium just for its manufacturing complexity.

That's why we've continued producing the Imperial Penguin M060. It's a knife we're proud of, and one we believe offers a lot of value for what it brings to the table.

Hand-Finished Hamaguri Convex Grind

The M060 features a traditional Hamaguri (Convex) Grind, carefully shaped and sharpened by hand.

Unlike conventional V-shaped edges, the convex grind has a smoothly curved cutting geometry without a distinct traditional bevel line. It offers a smooth cutting transition and a durable edge.

Every blade receives individual attention during the grinding and sharpening process, making the finished edge another part of what makes this knife special.

Easy Maintenance — Keep It Sharp with a Leather Strop

A convex edge is easier to maintain than it looks. Regular stropping with a leather strop helps restore sharpness and reduces the need for frequent sharpening, without constantly recreating the original convex geometry. For significant dullness or edge damage, conventional sharpening may still be necessary.

Vibrant & Lightweight Carbon Fiber

The latest carbon fiber versions feature brighter, more eye-catching colors with unique patterns. Besides their striking appearance, carbon fiber handles help keep the overall weight down, making the M060 lighter and more comfortable to carry.

Premium Titanium Construction

The internal construction features titanium liners, a titanium backspacer, and a titanium pocket clip. Combined with the lightweight carbon fiber handle, it delivers a refined balance of durability and portability.
